The modern diet provides a small variety of beneficial ingredients. We eat more processed and canned foods, and less fruits and vegetables. The intake of L.Reuteri, a patented bacteria, helps to maintain a normal gut balance, it has a positive effect on immunity, and a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract when ingesting gaseous foods. L.Reuteri is also particularly helpful for keeping the levels of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal system within physiological limits during and after antibiotic use.

Lactobacillus Reuters (L Reuteri), strain DSM 25175, is a patented bacteria found in the intestinal system of healthy mammals.
The first studies of the bacteria from the1980s show that it produces a substance (called Reuterin, named after its discoverer), which destroys harmful gut bacteria and is extremely helpful in maintaining a healthy gut flora. For example, Lactobacillus Reuteri has been shown to limit the growth of Escherichia coli.
Although Lactobacillus Reuteri naturally inhabits the gastrointestinal tract of humans, it is not found in everyone. It is therefore necessary to take it as a dietary supplement. Oral administration of the bacteria is effective for colonization of the intestine in healthy humans. Colonization takes place within a few days of initial admission. When stopped, the bacteria decrease in number after a few months, but the colonies do not disappear completely. After colonizing the gastrointestinal tract, Lactobacillus Reuteri has a positive effect on the immune system.
Comparative studies show that Lactobacillus Reuteri is more effective than other probiotic organisms in aiding the healthy gut microbiota. The bacteria also help to maintain the oral microflora within a healthy range.
